TJ Morton

T.J. Morton has significant experience representing individuals, businesses, trade associations,and state agencies in the health care, gaming, medical marijuana, and alcoholic beverageindustries. He serves as general counsel to businesses and trade associations and works closelywith lobbyists to ensure his clients’ interests are protected in the legislative process.Prior to joining the Lockwood Law Firm,T.J. worked for the Florida Department of Health andFlorida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. This experience in the publicsector allowed him to form a unique understanding of the inner workings and decision-makingprocesses of regulatory agencies. He uses this unique understanding to form effectivestrategies to avoid and resolve disputes with regulatory agencies.T.J. graduated magna cum laude from the Florida State University College of Law and earned hisBachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from Missouri State University.T.J. resides in Tallahassee with his wife, daughter, and mini goldendoodle.
