Are you planning to visit the Florida Capitol and meeting with legislators on pharmacy issues?  The FPA is coordinating efforts to have coverage throughout the 2019 legislative campaign.  Select the link below to see what dates we are needing support for.  If interested contact Aneesh Lakhani.

You can make a big difference in less than 5 minutes. That's all it will take to learn the issues and send a message to your state Legislators. The actions of our government have an enormous impact on the profession of pharmacy so please educate yourself and take action. Here are some general things that you can do to participate in the Florida Pharmacy Association Legislative Action Network:
  • Join our supporters list and we'll send you important updates regarding our advocacy efforts and how you can speak out on important issues. WE WILL NEVER sell or give your name to anyone else.
  • Send a letter to your state Senator or Representative. Introduce yourself as a constituent and offer to be available to answer any questions related to pharmacy related health care services. Your relationship with your state legislator will help bring the voice of pharmacy to Florida's top health care policy makers. SAMPLE LETTER
  • You may also want to visit the White House Website and keep current on national events shaping our country.
  • The Florida Pharmacy Association also encourages its members to become involved in the election process. If you are not registered to vote visit the Florida Division of Elections web site to become a voting citizen.
  • Political candidates can be asked questions by the public which they seek support from.  In many cases our members may not know what to ask.  Visit our forum on "Here Come the Candidates" to see how you can test political candidates to measure support for pharmacy issues.
